Which expressions do you prefer to use at the beginning of a new year?
”Happy New Year!” is a useful greeting, but let's try to discover other expressions too. Maybe we'll find one that is closer to what we actually feel at the beginning of every new year.
We have choose two idioms:
1. Turn over a new leaf: we use it when we dream about a new, fresh start, one that will make us better than we were before :)
2. The January Doldrums: the feeling of low energy and lack of motivation which we feel at the beginning of every new year.
So..how can we fight with the January Doldrums?
Starting work and meeting your colleagues could be an option, but the best way is to take a short vacation somewhere where you can enjoy a lot of sunshine....

”Happy New Year!” ne ajută în orice situație, dar ce expresii preferați cu adevărat.
Aici am ales două:
1. Turn over a new leaf : o folosim atunci când ne dorim un nou început, plin de prospețime și în care să fim mai buni;
2. The January Doldrums...Iată o expresie interesantă :) Se referă la binecunoscuta stare de apatie și demoralizare de început de an, când am dori să prelungim vacanța, dar când, asta e, nu putem scăpă de povara unui nou an...
